Anthem For Doomed Youth

        When analyzing the poem and the picture one can find numerous similarities. The picture is of two men in a cemetery. Ironically, the two men will most likely be found dead and buried in the cemetery. Furthermore, the poem describes how the dead will be celebrated. It states that church bells will ring over the battle field; however, the sound would come from the explosion of bombs. In essence both the poem and the picture convey the same gruesome truths about war but in different methods.
